My name is Zack.

I am proud to announce that at the age of 19, I have published my first book, "Inanimate Heroes". As an aspiring prolific author, this book is only the first of many to come.

I first started writing when I was about 10. I fell in love with poetry and literature and so I began to start writing it myself. In about 6th grade, I learned that people can make a living with writing and nearly fell out of my chair; it was what I had to do.

In about 8th grade, I wrote a college paper for my sister on the morality of the death penalty. She got an A+ and I received some great feedback on my work from a college professor- it was a great feeling. So then I decided to put my writing to the test, but wasn't quite sure how. I enlisted in multiple contests but they all turned out to be scams and nonsense. But in my junior year, I finally got my shot.

A local college was holding a creative writing contest. I decided to submit a screenplay entitled "Small Game" and it won 3rd place. I know that this seems paltry, and I must admit for a second I was very disappointed in myself. I was the only kid from my High School that had won anything there, but third place still kinda rang a small bell. However, I was awarded 10 dollars in prize money. After I opened it and almost laughed at the amount, my Creative writing teacher approached me and said "You've been paid for your work. Congratulations. You are a professional writer." It was one of the most proud moments in my life.

Soon after the beginning of my senior year in High School, I discovered Hub Pages. It was really the first vessel to get any writing talent out to the public. Then, soon after graduation, I witnessed a tragedy of suicides in my own age-range. This was what inspired me to write "Inanimate Heroes".

Writing is my passion and now, as an author, my career choice. I hope you can enjoy any of the hubs I have published.

I am also an author on Goodreads. Please visit to see my blog, Reviews and other content!
